Dave Compton provided an update on the Cat Osterman Experience, a softball complex under development south of Bellevue along Harlan Lewis Road. It will be a "play and stay" facility with housing for children and coaches.

Members of the Bellevue-East Key Club reported on their experiences at Key Leader last fall. They also tied a human knot with several of the Bellevue-Offutt Club, entertaining us with their efforts to untie the knot of human arms.

Sabrina Schalley and Tammy Stalzer provided background on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease. The local group provides social and financial support to local residents with ALS.

Secretary Lupe Mier and Treasurer Karen Mier provided an overview of the new Club website. After the meeting, committees met to review their responsibilities and plan goals for the coming year.

A representative of the 2010 Census discussed the census which will begin on April 1, as mandated by Congress. The census form consists of ten questions which are to be answered completely. Individuals are encouraged to mail the completed census in a timely manner. A census taker will visit residences that do not return the form to make sure all persons are counted. There is a civil penalty of $500 for non-response or for false information.
