Lewis and Clark Builders Club Launches Project Cozy Toes
The Lewis and Clark Builders Club mobilized the school in Project Cozy Toes to gather warm clothing for the Safe Haven and the Lydia House. The project ran from Jan 18 – Jan 29, and they gathered over 600 items of warm clothing. There was a class contest to see who could collect the most and Ms. Clapper’s class won. Pictured with members of the Lewis and Clark Builders Club are Dr. Smith, principal, Ms. Clapper, and Ms. Kinsey, the Builders Club faculty consultant.
Dictionaries delivered to Anderson Grove third graders
Kiwanians Dan Flanagan and Roger Givens delivered dictionaries to third graders at Anderson Grove Elementary School. All third graders attending public or private schools in Bellevue received a dictionary personalized with their name. This is the third year the Bellevue-Offutt Club has delivered dictionaries to third graders.
Mommy and Me calendars donated to Midlands Hospital
Mitzi Keuter from the Sarpy County Area Kiwanis Club and Karen Mier from the Bellevue-Offutt Kiwanis Club delivered 450 Mommy and Me calendars to Alegent Health Midlands Hospital in Papillion on November 13, 2009. Accepting the calendars is Colleen Cingle, Director of the Family Birth & Women's Center at Midlands Hospital. The calendars are given to every new mother who delivers her baby at Midlands Hospital.
