What we do

Our club is involved in a variety of projects that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide.  Below are the projects in which we are currently involved.

  • Dictionaries to every third grader attending school in Bellevue (approximately 1100 annually), including Bellevue School District, Papillion-La Vista School District, and Omaha School District as well as all parochial schools and homeschooled.
  • Four $1,000 scholarships to each of the following high schools: Bellevue East, Bellevue West, Papillion-La Vista (including Papillion-La Vista South), and Bryan.
  • Youth groups in local schools:
  1. K-Kids in Wake Robin Elementary School
  2. Builders Club in Lewis & Clark Middle School
  3. Builders Club in Logan Fontenelle Middle School
  4. Key Club in Bellevue East High School
  5. Key Club in Papillion-La Vista High School
  6. Key Club in Papillion-La Vista South High School
  • Arrows to Aerospace (or Bellevue Days) celebration on the third Saturday in August. Friday features a lunch at the Bellevue Senior Center. Saturday features a parade at 10am and a pancake feed, free pony rides, bounce houses, vendors, and other activities in Washington Park. More detail on Arrows to Aerospace can be found here.

Dictionaries for Third Graders

Since 2008, the Bellevue-Offutt Club has presented over 19,000 dictionaries to third graders attending school in Bellevue, whether they are in the Bellevue School District, other school districts, parochial schools, or homeschooled. In the fall of 2024, our club will mark its 18th year of providing dictionaries which are sometimes the only book the child will own. Each dictionary is personalized with the names of the child, the teacher, and the school. At most of the schools, club members personally deliver the dictionaries to the students.
